Miami, FL – The American Business Immigration Coalition Action (ABIC Action) unveils a major six-figure Spanish language media buy in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale media market targeting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over his proposal to stop issuing or renewing licenses to shelters that house unaccompanied minors.

The intensive media campaign began this morning at 7.am. Eastern with the first spot, ¿”REPUGNANTE”?  The ad, Spanish language script and English translation are here.

Members of ABIC Action, the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami and participants of the historic, 60’s era Operation Peter Pan unaccompanied minors Cuban exodus program are available to discuss the intensive media campaign.

The governor’s anti-immigrant policy that would severely impact children housed in Florida shelters on behalf of the federal government until they are reunified with family members, was rebuked last week at a news conference that included Miami Archbishop Thomas Wenski, several prominent business and community leaders who were in the Pedro Pan program. The video to the news conference is in the press and also here.

Available for comment to discuss the paid media campaign targeting Gov. DeSantis are:

  • The Most Reverend Archbishop Thomas Wenski, Archdiocese of Miami
  • Mike Fernandez, C-Chairman, ABIC Action
  • Tony Argiz, Pedro Pan participant; Board Member, IMPAC Fund; Chairman & CEO, Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP
