President Trump – you understand farmers and ranchers. You understand the hotel, restaurant and hospitality industry. You are a builder yourself, and understand the construction industry. And with your recent passage of your Big Beautiful Bill, and your historic investment in border security and immigration enforcement, you have the vision and opportunity to deliver on the strongest economy our nation has ever seen.

You have secured our border – now you can succeed where previous administrations have failed to do – securing America’s workforce by instituting your work permit program.

We are farmers, restaurant and hotel owners, builders, caregivers, small business owners and employers who keep this country running. Like you, we know what it means to show up early, stay late, and do whatever it takes to keep things moving forward. This spirit is what has always made America strong.

As a business leader, you understand this – and that is why we support your vision for a work permit program to ensure that America’s economy continues roaring back.

Over the past months, you have communicated strongly that you understand the stakes, making clear in your recent Cabinet meeting “There’s no amnesty. What we’re doing is we’re getting rid of criminals, but we are doing a work program.”, following up on your strong remarks in Iowa.

As Stephen Moore recently put it in the Washington Post, “we will still need smart and willing workers because our country’s declining birth rates deplete the pool of available domestic labor…Roughly 10,000 baby boomers are retiring every day, but nowhere near that number of native-born Americans are entering the workforce.”

We are heartened by the concrete proposals we are seeing from Congress, including the Dignity Act and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act, both of which fit within your vision for a work permit program supporting essential industries.

We invite anyone who does not yet share your vision for securing America’s workforce to spend a day with us. They can see the hard work and dedication it takes to milk a cow before sunrise, train a horse with patience and skill, open a restaurant at the crack of dawn or close it late at night, or care for an elderly American living with severe dementia.

You have the backing of the vast majority of Americans – a recent poll showed that 72% of 2024 Republican Primary Voters believe in “allowing those immigrants who have been here 10 years, are working and paying taxes, and who have committed no crimes, to apply for 5-year legal work permits.”

Mr. President – you have secured our border. Now, we are here to support your vision to secure our workforce with your work permit program.

Sincerely (list in formation),
