Factors such as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2025\/02\/13\/trump-immigration-deportation-obstacles\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lack of funds, detention space and infrastructure<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have been cited as challenges.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>The <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/us-deportations-panama-african-asian-migrants\/\"><b>U.S. began deporting undocumented immigrants from Africa and Asia to Panama<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> this week, a move that could allow the Trump administration to speed deportations of people from nations that resist accepting deportation flights.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/02\/10\/us\/politics\/irs-dhs-immigration.html\"><b>IRS agents may be deputized for immigration enforcement<\/b><\/a><b>,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> if Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem gets approval from the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Treasury Secretary<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for IRS criminal investigators to join deportation efforts.
